Emiko comes to the APO most recently from the Office of Career Services, where she has served as the Assistant Director of Premedical and Health Career Advising for five and a half years. Before her time at the College, she also spent time at The City College of New York supporting first-generation college students in STEM. Emiko has acquired extensive experience developing programs, systematizing advising processes, collaborating across organizations, and managing communications. Emiko holds a BA in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Washington University in St. Louis as well as a MS in Biology and PhD in Biochemistry from Harvard University. At the APO, Emiko leads adviser-facing initiatives, including close collaborations with faculty and other academic advising experts. Outside of work, she can be found wrangling her two young sons and coddling her elderly cat.
