During your sophomore year, you will be supported by an extensive network of advisors, including a network of advising support in your House or Residential Community and your future concentration. The advisors in your House or Residential Community include:

As you progress in your studies, you will benefit from the guidance of advisors in your residence and from specialist advisors in your chosen field. You will also continue to build your own network of advisors, seeking multiple perspectives on how to make the most of your time at Harvard and accomplish your academic goals.

In the first semester of your sophomore year, your primary advisor will be a House Tutor. This advisor will support you through two important transitions: into your House or Residential Community at the beginning of your third term and into your concentration near the end of your third term. Your sophomore advisor will help you with course selection and registration, choosing your concentration, and connecting with concentration advisors. After you declare your concentration, they will help you plan for academic and co-curricular opportunities such as research, study abroad, or summer opportunities, and point you to appropriate resources as needed.
