Courtney manages all program logistics and operations of the Advising Programs Office. Courtney joined the office following a 4 year stint at Harvard Business School. Originally from New Jersey, Courtney graduated from the University of Massachusetts – Amherst with a Bachelor's degree in Sociology, with a concentration in Social Work, and a minor in Spanish. She has lived in the Boston area ever since. Courtney has worked in both non-profit and corporate settings, and is passionate about facilitating educational opportunities for others. Courtney is pursuing her Master's Degree in International Relations at the Harvard Extension School.
Rebecca E. Capodilupo
Becca is the Department Administrator for the APO. Her administrative and management experience is extensive, including working as a Compensation Analyst and HR generalist for FAS. Becca has over 20 years of experience as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor and manager in the fitness industry. Before coming to the APO, Becca directed group fitness programming for the Harvard Business School in addition to serving as the Boston Regional Director for Group Fitness Programming for Optum. Becca earned her B.A. from U.C. Berkeley where she majored in Psychology. She is currently enrolled part-time in the Interior Design program at Rhode Island School of Design.
Mathavi Jothimurugesan Strasburger
Brooks completed his B.A. at Harvard. As an undergraduate, he lived in Canaday Hall and Currier House, and concentrated in History. In 2005, Brooks worked on the Harvard College Curricular Review, in the Harvard College Dean's Office, which led to the creation of the Advising Programs Office (APO). Brooks joined the APO in its inaugural year in 2006, and helped launch the Peer Advising Fellows (PAF) program in 2006-07. Since then, Brooks has helped steer numerous advising related initiatives. Also since 2007, Brooks has served as a freshman proctor. He recently ended his tenure as a proctor in Apley Court in Ivy Yard.
Anne Marie E. Sousa
Anne Marie Sousa leads the Advising Programs Office in overseeing academic advising for all undergraduate students at Harvard College. Anne Marie has been an adviser for students since she began working at Harvard College in 2008, first in helping to launch the Program in General Education and then working on academic projects in the Office of Undergraduate Education. Anne Marie is very passionate about academic advising and believes that it is the key that connects students with opportunities inherent in a liberal arts education.
Anne Marie earned her B.A. from Middlebury College where she majored in English, an M.A. in the Humanities from the University of Chicago, and a Master’s of Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Before joining Harvard College, Anne Marie worked at Harvard Law School in a variety of student service roles.
